Job summary

Thomson Reuters in Minnesota, Eagan, seeks a data verifier to review and validate tax data submitted by accounting firms. You will use 1040SCANverify to extract information via OCR and ensure accuracy and completeness.

You will correct OCR discrepancies, fill gaps in data, and uphold high attention to detail while meeting productivity and quality standards. This role supports accurate tax filings.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with basic computer functionality and ability to quickly learn new programs.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to type at least 50 words per minute with accuracy.
• Be comfortable working in a structured office environment.
• Ability to remain focused and productive while performing repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
• Experience with data entry, document processing, or tax-related fields.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a drive for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Review, Verify, and Validate tax data submitted by accounting firms to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize an in-house software called 1040SCANverify that leverages OCR to extract and process tax data.
• Evaluate OCR output for accuracy, identifying and correct discrepancies to maintain data integrity.
• Identify and correct missing or incomplete data to ensure tax documents are fully prepared for future processing.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
