Qualifications

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication abilities.
Interest in tax law, controversy, and emerging issues.
Ability to analyze complex topics and communicate conclusions in writing.

Responsibilities

Evaluate tax planning strategies from federal legislation and market developments.
Research technical positions, draft memos and position papers for clients.
Engage with the IRS and prepare responses to exams, appeals, and collections.
Conduct technical research and draft memoranda to support tax positions.
Draft private letter ruling requests and proactive planning for future positions.
Assist National Tax Office with internal/external tax alerts on current developments.
Interact with staff and clients to deepen knowledge of tax law and controversy.
