Under the close supervision of the Tax Administrator I, the Tax Compliance Representative (TCR) performs a mixture of routine and complex compliance assignments. Use of judgment and knowledge of statutes, regulations, and compliance procedures is required to resolve delinquent tax liabilities and/or delinquent tax returns. Resolving case assignments may involve contact with the employer or the employer's representative by telephone, written correspondence, field calls or utilization of other collection tools such as 1733/1735 investigations, issuance of warrants, etc.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment.
Occasional travel is required for Field Calls, which on rare occasions includes an overnight stay. Rare travel may be required for training or meetings, which rarely may require overnight stays.

New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
This position is headquartered in Fresno and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Positionexists in Fresno County.
