The State of Wyoming is seeking a Tax Examination professional to educate vendors, assess tax needs, and ensure compliance. The role involves traveling to various vendors within a tri-county area and working to resolve questions or difficulties in tax obligations.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Finance (or equivalent experience), a valid driver's license, and knowledge of state tax statutes. This non-exempt position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to impact

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Finance) or equivalent with 0-3 years in Tax Examination or 4-6 years with equivalent knowledge at the Senior Tax Examiner level.
• Must have a current valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of State statutes pertaining to Excise and applicable taxes.
• Knowledge of teaching techniques.

Responsabilités

• Delivers licenses and educational materials to new vendors and educates them on compliance requirements.
• Reviews new vendor business models to determine applicable tax items.
• Meets with vendors with questions about accounts or compliance challenges.
• Arranges payment plans and processes lien filings.
• Ensures tax collection at temporary events in their area.
