Qualifications

• High school diploma with customer service and office technology experience, or equivalent training/experience.
• Must provide complete work history and documentation of all certifications, places and dates of employment and hours worked.
• Background checks required: criminal, driving record, and pre-employment drug screen; NC license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by telephone and in person; answer inquiries on tax bills, records, valuations and procedures.
• Process mail, enter data, balance cash drawer, and maintain records.
• Assist taxpayers, attorneys, real estate professionals, and the general public with tax laws and policies.
• Perform related clerical duties and support other sections of the Tax Office.
