Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) in California is seeking Tax/Audit Interns across Carlsbad, Century City, Irvine, Ontario, and Pasdena locations. The anticipated start date for this role is January 2028 and the anticipated end date is April 2028.

You will prepare tax returns, participate in audits and other assurance services, support client engagements on time and within budget, and expand industry knowledge through training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Credit requirements to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Windows, Word, Excel).
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience with procedures, workpapers, and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget.
• Expands industry knowledge through training and client exposure.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA team members.
