Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) invites applicants for Tax/Audit Intern positions at our Salinas and Paso Robles offices in California. The anticipated start is January 2028 and end in April 2028.

Interns will prepare diverse tax returns, assist with audits, and gain practical experience across client engagements while collaborating with CLA professionals. Successful candidates will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, aiming for CPA eligibility, and comfortable using MS Office

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA exam eligibility per state.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial data reporting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge, through greater exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.
