Job summary

CLA is seeking Tax/Audit Interns at our Sacramento, Walnut Creek, and San Francisco locations. The anticipated start date is January 2028 with an end date in April 2028. Come and see for yourself!

Responsibilities include preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses, performing audit and other assurance services, and supporting client engagements to meet deadlines and budget. Minimum requirements: pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (degree strongly preferred), CPA exam

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; degree strongly preferred.
• Credit requirements to sit for CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial data reporting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficiency with MS Windows and MS Office products.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience with procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge through greater exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.
