Job summary

Withum is seeking a tax-focused student to start their career through the November 2027 Class at Withum. Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofits while gaining experience with planning and research using Withum’s tools.

You'll collaborate with audit and advisory teams, participate in client meetings, and leverage tax technology and data analytics to improve accuracy and efficiency. A strong GPA and a collaborative mindset help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Graduated or graduating college student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: 150 credit hours and prior internship experience with a public accounting firm.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with tax software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofits.
• Assist with tax planning and research projects using authoritative sources and Withum’s proprietary tools.
• Analyze financial data and apply tax regulations to client scenarios.
• Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to ensure integrated client service.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
• Leverage tax technology platforms and data analytics tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay current on evolving tax laws and industry trends.
• Assume increasing responsibility on engagements as your proficiency grows.
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
