Job summary

Withum is offering a November 2027 Audit Career class for accounting graduates to join the Audit team. You will gain hands-on experience in financial statement audits, internal control evaluations, and client engagements across industries.

This is an entry-level path designed to develop hands-on expertise alongside seasoned professionals. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting with a 3.0+ GPA, strong communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting required.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• 150 credit hours and internship experience with public accounting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking; team-oriented and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review client accounting records and financial statements.
• Evaluate internal control systems, audit risk, materiality, and GAAS compliance.
• Prepare detailed workpapers to support audit procedures.
• Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures on financial data.
• Contribute to larger engagements and manage smaller ones as skills grow.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify audit issues.
• Use audit software and data analytics tools to enhance audit quality and efficiency.
• Take on miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
