Job summary

WithumSmith+Brown, PC is launching a November 2027 Tax Career Class for soon-to-be graduates. You will prepare returns and assist with planning and research using Withum’s tools, while collaborating with audit and advisory teams.

Applicants should be accounting students with strong communication and Excel skills, ideally 150 credit hours and prior internship experience. The program offers exposure to tax technology, client meetings, and growth opportunities across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with tax software is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofits.
• Assist with tax planning and research projects using authoritative sources and Withum’s proprietary tools.
• Analyze financial data and apply tax regulations to client scenarios.
• Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to ensure integrated client service.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
• Leverage tax technology platforms and data analytics tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay current on evolving tax laws and industry trends.
• Assume increasing responsibility on engagements as your proficiency grows.
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
