Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a year-round Block Advisor to help clients navigate complex tax and business scenarios in a local Block Advisors office. You will prepare accurate returns and build lasting relationships.

You will interview clients, identify savings opportunities, and provide clear recommendations, supported by training and technology. This in-person role emphasizes client service and ongoing education to stay current with IRS requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of tax preparation experience.
• Experience with individual and business returns.
• Ability to explain tax concepts to clients.
• Must meet IRS and state continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Interview clients to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and advise clients on Block Advisors products and services.
• Provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a client-focused office.
