Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab to translate real tax compliance, provision, and planning work into structured training data that teaches AI to reason about how tax accountants actually work.

The role focuses on tax specialties across corporate, individual, partnership, SALT, and international sub-specialties, and requires CPA or EA credentials, a clear tax sub-specialty, and both public accounting or in-house tax experience.

Formación

• CPA or EA certification.
• Clear tax sub-specialty across corporate, individual, partnership, SALT, or international.
• Public accounting or in-house tax experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Design realistic tax training scenarios from return preparation (1040/1120/1120-S/1065), tax provision (ASC 740), responses to notices/IDRs, and controversy support, planning and estimated payments.
• Review and compare AI-generated tax outputs for technical accuracy and defensible positions.
• Provide clear written feedback to improve how AI performs tax tasks.
• Collaborate asynchronously with the research team.
