Job summary

Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyards in Temecula is seeking a Tasting Room Operations Manager to own the day-to-day operations of the tasting room, including staffing, scheduling, inventory, compliance, procedures, and performance accountability. The role directly oversees Tasting Room Servers and Barbacks and partners with the Hospitality & Experience Manager to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years in operations, hospitality, or retail management.
• RFH and RBS certification required.
• Professional wine certification a plus (Sommelier, CSW, WSET).
• Experience with staff scheduling, labor compliance, and payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Build, publish, and maintain staff schedules across all Tasting Room positions.
• Own daily operational execution including opening/closing, cash handling, and deposits.
• Verify timecards, attendance, overtime, meal/rest compliance, and payroll.
• Own inventory across monthly/weekly cycles; resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with vendors on ordering and deliveries to maintain stock without overordering.
• Assist in preparing the departmental budget and monitor spending.
