Job summary

Rocky Pond Estate Winery is seeking a Tasting Room Assistant Manager to partner with the DTC Sales Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences at our Woodinville tasting room. You will drive sales, oversee daily operations, and coordinate events to showcase our estate wines.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years in tasting room or hospitality, and a passion for hospitality. Availability on weekends and holidays is essential; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; college degree in retail/business management or hospitality preferred.
• 5+ years of prior relevant experience in tasting room retail, direct-to-consumer sales, or hospitality.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Availability to work weekends, special events, and holidays.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Superior customer service and service-driven attitude.
• Friendly, professional demeanor with guests, vendors, and team members.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; proactive and thorough.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed sales goals in a tasting room setting.
• Upsell tastings to elevated experiences; grow wine club and mailing list.
• Execute best-in-class wine club and tasting experiences and events.
• Maintain a neat tasting room and manage inventory monthly.
• Schedule staff and plan tasting flights; ensure margins by minimizing waste.
• Lead and train staff; promote positive culture.
• Build community partnerships to raise brand awareness.
