Konnections Staffing is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support pediatric clients in Norco. The position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a daytime schedule from 9AM to 6PM.

The role requires an Associate’s degree, California licensure as a COTA, and 1–3 years of pediatric experience. You will work closely with an OT, families, and school teams to deliver effective therapy and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; state licensure as a COTA.
• 1–3 years of pediatric clinical experience.
• COTA certification is required to practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pediatric treatment and collaborate with families.

Position Summary:

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is responsible for pediatric treatment in the area of Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct treatment for pediatric clients and their families
• Continuously evaluate client needs and share these findings with the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT). Plan and problem solve with the supervising OT in order to help each client reach his or her potential
• Communicate and collaborate with other professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents in order to provide an effective program
• Provide services in an effective manner within your scope of practice
• Document all treatment sessions on a daily basis, as well as provide appropriate documentation to supervising OT.
• Maintain client files and treatment logs in an organized manner to include as well as provide appropriate documentation to supervising OT.
• Communicate with Supervising OT and/or Directors regarding any changes in status, problems, or intent to change any aspect of services already in place.
• Attend and participate in meetings as required by the supervising OT (e.g., Clinical staff meetings, team meetings, IEP/IFSP meetings).
• Develop instructional materials, and evaluate commercially produced materials for use in treatment as recommended by supervising OT
• Keep current on latest developments in field of physical therapy by attending professional
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education-

• Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• State Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Experience-

• 1-3 years of experience in pediatrics

Sign-On Bonus is paid after 90 days working with clients. Bonus will vary based on work experience, education, certification and meeting all job requirements.
