Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

Pediatric Occupational Therapist ($2,000 Bonus) - Norco

• Norco, California

Pediatric Occupational Therapist - Norco Sign-On Bonus $2,000 Hours: 9am-6pm, flexible full-time, part-time or hourly

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the department; pediatric assessments, consultations, and therapies in the area of Occupational Therapy. The Occupational Therapist will provide their services in a generally accepted manner while adhering to the code of ethics of the profession, and in accordance with all applicable state laws.

Job Duties:

• Assess, consult, plan and conduct treatment for pediatric clients and their families
• Continuously evaluate client needs, plan and problem solve in order to help each client reach his or her potential
• Communicate and collaborate with other professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents in order to provide an effective program
• Supervise appropriate staff and student interns effectively within scope of practice, as needed (e.g., COTA, OT student intern)
• Document all consultation and treatment sessions on a daily basis, as well as provide appropriate documentation to treatment team
• Provide assessment, progress and discharge reports in a timely manner
• Maintain client files and treatment logs in an organized manner to include appropriate documentation to team
• Communicate with Department Managers and Directors regarding any changes in status, problems, or intent to change any aspect of services already in place; and, to discuss same with Directors prior to communicating with client’s family or referral source
• Attend and participate in meetings as required (e.g., staff meetings, team meetings, IEP/IFSP meetings).
• Develop instructional materials and evaluate commercially produced materials for use in treatment
• Keep current on latest developments in field of occupational therapy by attending professional seminars, reading current literature, and participating in professional organizations.
• Plan, coordinate and conduct in-service trainings for staff
• Keep careful record of billable hours which will require parent signature
• Stay abreast of funding resource changes which impact reporting and/or treatment requirements
• Maintain treatment hours according to employment agreement
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or higher in Occupational Therapy
• State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• 1-3 years of experience in pediatrics

• Competitive pay $50.00 to $70.00 an hourdependent on experience and billable hours

*Sign-On Bonus is paid after 90 days working with clients. Bonus will vary based on ABA work experience, hours, education, certification and meeting all job requirements. All pres-stated availability and locations must continue for 90 days.
