Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP is seeking a Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide one-on-one pediatric therapy in homes, schools, and daycares within the Greater Houston area. You’ll work under the direction of a licensed OT with physician-approved plans, and you will educate families on techniques and home programs to promote child independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Texas COTA license by start date.
• One year of pediatric or related experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist according to physician-approved treatment plans.
• Implement interventions to improve strength, mobility, coordination, fine motor skills, ADLs, and functional independence.
• Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
