Palisociety is seeking a Task Force Housekeeping Manager to provide on-site leadership across a portfolio of hotels in Southern California. You will lead housekeeping operations, including staffing, scheduling, and ensuring cleanliness standards during high occupancy, groups, and renovations.
You will also train teams, oversee onboarding, and align brand SOPs and local policies across properties while traveling regularly to support operations.
Palisociety is a society of unique hotels and residences — Palihouse, Palihotel, Le Petit Pali, ARRIVE by Palisociety, and a growing collection of independently branded properties. Since our first hotel opened in Los Angeles in 2009, we've grown into a nationwide portfolio of neighborhood-centric hotels, restaurants, bars, and event spaces, earning recognition from Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, the New York Times, and more.
We consider our employees our greatest asset: structured training from day one, consistent feedback, and a clear path for growth. We develop our leaders from within, because the strongest hospitality companies are the ones that grow their own.
The Task Force Housekeeping Manager provides on-site leadership across a portfolio of hotels in the Southern California region, stepping in to lead housekeeping operations wherever a property needs onsite support. This role exists to close leadership gaps quickly and reliably, covering for absent Housekeeping Managers and Housekeeping Supervisors, leading teams through high-occupancy periods and special projects, while directing and standardizing cleanliness and service quality across the portfolio.
This position will be expected to support a variety of tasks, including cleaning and styling of guest rooms as needed.
Step in as acting housekeeping leader at assigned properties whenever a Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor is out. You'll own the department on-site: staffing, scheduling, service recovery and directing the team, including peak periods like high occupancy, group check-ins, and check-outs, and renovations.
Run daily housekeeping operations: assign and inspect rooms, manage room status and housekeeping boards across the PMS platforms in our portfolio, and work with front desk leadership to get rooms ready on time.
Learn each property's SOPs, brand standards and local policies when you arrive, since every hotel is a little different. Then lead the team on cleanliness, safety and lost-and-found procedures.
Serve as a certified Property Brand Ambassador, keeping cleanliness and service expectations consistent no matter which property you're supporting that day.
Roll up your sleeves by cleaning and styling rooms as needed, and help each property's leadership with housekeeping admin priorities.
Own onboarding and training for new housekeeping associates where there's no on-site trainer, and lead the rollout of new standards, brand initiatives and process changes, adapting your approach to each team's culture.
Keep Corporate Operations and property leadership in the loop on scheduling, availability and how each assignment went, with recommendations for the property going forward.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Required
2+ years in a hotel housekeeping leadership or supervisory role (e.g., Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisor), ideally within a branded or multi-property environment.
Demonstrated experience directing, training, and holding staff accountable, with the ability to lead a team you do not manage day-to-day.
Strong working knowledge of housekeeping operations, standards, and inspection processes, including room status management within a major PMS (e.g., Opera, Mews); ability to learn additional systems quickly.
Strong personal organization and time management, including tracking hours and assignments across multiple locations.
Willingness to travel regularly among properties across the Southern California region.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with ability to respond to last-minute leadership coverage needs. Schedule will vary week to week based on property with an expectation of flexibility for urgent coverage needs.
Preferred
Prior experience in a task force, cluster, or multi-property leadership role.
Experience designing or delivering training content to front-line associates and supervisors.
Bilingual English/Spanish.
Familiarity with multiple hotel brand standards
Physical
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while walking guest floors during housekeeping inspections.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally (linen/cart movement, supply transport).
WHATS IN IT FOR YOU:
Competitive compensation package with medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus 401(k).
Paid time off, holiday pay, and sick pay.
Career advancement and professional development as we open new hotels and restaurants nationwide.
Employee discounts across our entire portfolio (25 hotels and more to come!).
