Job Summary

Serve guests in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner. Prepare specified areas for food and beverage service.

Essential Job Functions
  • Maintain general knowledge of menu, wine list, and all hotel facilities/services to respond to guest inquiries appropriately.
  • Provide the highest quality of food, beverage, atmosphere, and service.
  • Quickly address, resolve, and report any complaints or negative situations so guests leave with a positive experience and will return.
  • Complete side work promptly and in accordance with standards.
  • Promote and maintain strong lines of communication and teamwork between the dining room, kitchen, and all other departments.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance in accordance with the dress code standards for uniformed associates.
  • Assist other associates with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests.
  • Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and employee morale.
  • Perform all job functions, special projects, and tasks as assigned.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, no matter how busy or what time of day.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, outlets, and hours of operation.
  • Practice emergency procedures in compliance with hotel/company standards; react and assist in hotel emergency situations as needed.
  • Always be an ambassador of the hotel and the company, both in and out of the workplace.
  • Support Forbes standards; strive to continuously improve.
  • Ensure by example that the Inn at Perry Cabin philosophy is known.
  • Observe standards for image, appearance, and grooming; properly represent the company and profession to outside organizations and the community.
  • Be knowledgeable of, implement, communicate, and comply with policies of Inn at Perry Cabin and its Human Resources Department.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of guests and hotel information.
Job Requirements

Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred. At least one year of experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant preferred.

  • Ability to communicate information regarding food and beverage to guests.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to ensure confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule according to the needs of the position and the demands of the business.
Working Conditions

The work environment may involve exposure to direct sunlight, high humidity, heat, cold, noise, grease, cleaning agents, slippery floors, and other environmental exposures across the property.

Employees will frequently stand for long periods, walk, talk, and use their hands to handle equipment. Manual dexterity is required to handle glasses, plates, silverware, etc. Employees may lift at least 35 pounds and push, pull, or move equipment and supplies in excess of 75 pounds.

Compensation

$72,800 – $72,800.
