Amenities include a PeteDye‑designed golf course, a therapeutic spa, five sailboats (including a historic 1902 skipjack, the Stanley Norman, and a 55‑foot Hinckley yacht), a zero‑edge swimming pool, lush gardens, and complimentary bicycles, kayaks, and paddleboards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain cafeteria cleanliness and a clean, freshly stocked buffet.
  • Prepare foods and items to par levels.
  • Communicate inventory needs and review communication log entries with leadership.
  • Ensure duty check lists are complete.
  • Present yourself in a friendly manner and maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, outlets, and operating hours.
  • Practice emergency procedures in compliance with hotel/company standards and assist in hotel emergencies as needed.
  • Observe standards for the department’s image, appearance, and grooming; represent the company and profession to outside organizations and the community.
  • Be knowledgeable of, implement, communicate, and comply with Inn at Perry Cabin and its Hotel Human Resources policies.
  • Assist in other areas as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required; some college or vocational coursework preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Communicate in English with guests, suppliers, and employees.
    • Provide friendly, efficient, and courteous service to guests.
    • Work independently and exercise judgment to resolve personnel and production issues.
    • Handle stress inherent in interacting with co‑employees and resolving guest problems.
    • Work well under pressure, be organized, self‑motivated, and a good team player.
    • Initiate light conversation with guests and have a strong positive attitude.
    • Know hotel property and operating hours of each guest service area.
    • Basic knowledge of Charleston and surrounding areas.
    • Provide legible communication and complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.
    • Work effectively with senior management, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the hotel.
    • Understand the luxury hotel environment.
    • Additional foreign language skills are a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS

The work environment is inside a hotel with occasional exposure to direct sunlight, high humidity, extremes of heat and cold, noise, and other conditions associated with the hotel environment. Employees frequently interact with guests, staff, visitors, and government agencies and may experience varying conditions and circumstances. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, manual dexterity for kitchen equipment, hearing and vision within normal range, and the ability to lift up to 30pounds. COMPENSATION

Compensation: $16.00–$16.00 per hour.
