Job Description

The Task Force Executive Chef directs food ordering, preparation, production, and control for all food outlets and banquet facilities of the hotel they are operating in.

Job Requirements
  • Responsible for enhancing the food product presented to guests.
  • Make changes responding to the marketplace and guests' needs, both present and anticipated.
  • Recommend changes to the food product.
  • Use market research to develop new products.
  • Maintain quality of food and ensure consistency in delivery and standards.
  • Support team goals and measure effectiveness through food & beverage profit and service performance.
  • Responsible for personnel selection, training, and development within the department.
  • Exercise hire and fire discretion within hotel policies.
  • Oversee divisional matters related to employment and civil rights laws.
  • Control profit and loss elements.
  • Manage all major operating expenses.
  • Set margins and manage the business against projections.
  • Participate in hotel programs for continuous improvement and networking.
  • Represent the hotel professionally in community and industry events.
Job Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience as an Executive Chef.
  • Management experience required.
  • This is a traveling role; 85%+ on-site based on hotel needs.
  • Graduate of an accredited Culinary School preferred.
  • Experience at properties of similar size and quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Verifiable record of improving metrics related to the Food Department and guest satisfaction.
