Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a Task Force Director of Sales to join Graduate Hotels by Hilton and its team of hospitality enthusiasts.
Position Purpose
Drive sales efforts across the platform in the absence of full-time sales leadership on property. The Task Force Director of Sales plays a pivotal role in ensuring continuity of sales efforts during transition periods, leading the team and property sales efforts interim while an open position exists or other special assignments are available.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Support sales teams in vacancies or underperforming roles (administrative support, catering, etc.).
- Maintain a teamwork environment with effective communication through positive leadership.
- Provide pricing and guidance recommendations, review and approve special negotiated rates.
- Learn and implement hotel brand strategies with the sales team.
- Develop knowledge of hotel operations including F&B, guest services, reservations.
- Ensure adherence to company sales policies and SOPs.
- Drive customer loyalty and deliver service excellence.
- Manage group, banquets & catering, and business travel accounts to maximize revenue.
- Ensure proper documentation for events is created and delivered.
- Manage and execute RFP process with GM and Sales Manager.
- Complete solicitation, closing, and customer communication documentation.
- Identify and pursue new and repeat business via prospecting and networking.
- Develop market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and set strategies.
- Analyze sales reports to identify trends and demand opportunities.
- Monitor pricing and revenue strategies to ensure competitiveness.
- Participate in revenue and sales strategy meetings and forecasting.
- Implement corporate and brand tools to exceed budgets.
- Conduct competitor analysis and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Track ROI on sales programs and marketing efforts.
- Prepare annual marketing and budget plans.
- Set and monitor team goals and sales activities.
- Provide ongoing training and development for team members.
- Monitor daily activities of direct reports.
- Operate within sales expense budgets.
- Abide by Prime Time Selling hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to travel for extended periods.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years in progressive hotel sales with leadership responsibilities preferred.
- 100% Remote work capability.
- 50-60% travel required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical skills related to hotel revenues.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of revenue management principles.
- Ability to use reservation and revenue management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook.
