Vallarta Supermarkets in the United States (CA Colton area) seeks a Taquero to deliver friendly, fast service and assist cooks with food preparation in a high-energy taquería environment.

You will greet customers, ensure portion and presentation quality, and promote specials while maintaining sanitation and safety standards. Prior cooking or prep experience is preferred and English basics are required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, courteous personality with strong customer service skills.
• Familiarity with equipment and tools used in the Taquería department.
• Prior experience as a cook or prep helper preferred.
• Basic understanding of English language.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide outstanding, prompt service.
• Prepare food orders consistently in portion, quality, and appearance to company standards.
• Only prepare food orders that have been paid for.
• Promote sales by suggestive selling of advertised specials.
• Assist cooks in gathering and preparing meats and other ingredients.
• Notify management when products or supplies are needed.
• Transport products to and from coolers and storage areas.
