Job summary

Strong Rope Brewery is seeking a Floor Manager to lead front-of-house operations in Brooklyn. You will supervise shifts, coach staff, and ensure a high-quality, welcoming guest experience across taproom, events, and private bookings.

You will work closely with the GM and FOH leaders, balance service efficiency with hospitality, and own day-to-day decisions that keep service smooth, accurate, and engaging for guests.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hospitality leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of front-of-house operations in a hospitality setting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable giving direction and holding staff accountable.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily FOH operations as Manager on Duty, overseeing opening, service, and closing procedures.
• Build weekly staff schedules in partnership with GM, aligning staffing to sales and events.
• Coach and develop FOH team, uphold hospitality and service standards, and address attendance and performance issues.
• Maintain guest experience by monitoring service quality, cleanliness, organization, and guest flow.
• Ensure taproom spaces are ready and properly presented, including menus, signage, and ambience.
• Manage FOH inventory and purchasing, par levels, and supplies.
• Coordinate FOH support for private events and community programming.
• Maintain safety, organization, and accountability across shifts.
• Identify training needs and contribute to SOPs and process improvements.
• Take ownership of problems and provide on-the-spot solutions when needed.
