Job summary

Big Grove Brewery in Des Moines is seeking a Taproom Manager to oversee daily operations of a high-volume taproom, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong team leadership, and smooth service throughout shifts.

You will coach FOH staff, manage opening/closing, control labor costs, inventory, safety, and compliance with alcohol laws while reflecting Big Grove’s culture and standards. This role requires hands-on leadership and a passion for craft beer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of related management experience preferred.
• Must be of legal age to serve and bartend.
• Valid alcohol server/seller certification (as required by state law).
• Strong knowledge of craft beer, cocktails, and food service best practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-of-house team including bartenders, servers, hosts, and support staff.
• Deliver consistent guest experiences through service standards.
• Coach staff to uphold company values and guest service expectations.
• Ensure compliance with health and alcohol laws; manage daily operations.
