Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc. in Frazeysburg, OH is seeking a Tape Operator to operate and monitor production equipment on a fast-paced manufacturing line. You will load materials, follow precise work instructions, and participate in quality checks to ensure product standards are met.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and reliable, with good teamwork and communication. Previous production experience is a plus; schedule is Monday–Thursday, with breaks and a 30-minute lunch.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow work instructions, procedures, and production specifications.
• Start up, shut down, and troubleshoot machines.
• Load and manage production materials at creels and rewind stations.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure product standards.
• Use HMI controls and ERP systems for data entry.
• Maintain production goals and efficiency.
• Follow Lock Out/Tag Out and safety procedures.
• Keep work area clean using 5S principles.
• Communicate with production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Title: Tape Operator

Location: Frazeysburg, OH

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4:15 PM - 2:45 AM

· (2) 15 min paid breaks and (1) 30 min unpaid lunch

Pay Rate: Starting up to $19.25/hr (*10% Shift Differential = $21.18/hr)

Job Summary:

The Tape Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment used in the manufacturing process. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, meeting production goals, and supporting safe and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a production environment both independently and as part of a team.

Previous machine operation, manufacturing, or industrial experience is preferred.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

include the following:

• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
• Learn and follow work instructions, procedures, and production specifications
• Perform machine startup, shutdown, and basic troubleshooting
• Load and manage production materials including creels and rewind stations
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure product standards are met
• Utilize HMI controls and ERP systems for production tracking and data entry
• Maintain production goals and efficiency standards
• Follow Lock Out / Tag Out and all company safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles
• Communicate effectively with production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or industrial experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability preferredAbility to read work instructions and basic production specifications
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong attendance, communication, and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
