Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc. in Frazeysburg, OH is seeking a Lamination Operator to join our production team. You will operate and maintain machines, work toward specific production goals, and contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires previous manufacturing experience with machine operation, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards, including Lock Out Tag Out. The position offers Monday–Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience including machine operator/maintenance.
• Overhead crane certification required (on the job within 90 days).
• Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math (tape measure).
• Knowledge of safety procedures including Lock Out Tag Out.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and/or perform machine maintenance.
• Learn and follow work instructions.
• Adhere to Lock Out Tag Out safety standards.
• Monitor machines and processes for output, pressure, temperatures, and tensions.
• Plan changeovers and coordinate with material handlers.
• Assist with data entry in the ERP system.
• Conduct quality inspections and adjust with supervisor input.
• Meet or exceed production standards.
• Communicate effectively and work independently or in a team.
• Follow safety policies and maintain 5S at the workplace.
• Suggest process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Candidate must have manufacturing experience with machine operation or maintenance experience. Candidate must be comfortable working in production as part of a team with specific production goals. Previous work experience in a fast-paced environment, operating machines or heavy equipment to specific measurements or print specifications is required. The person selected will be working directly with other members of the production team, safety, quality and engineering.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Machine operator and/or machine maintenance experience
• Ability to learn and follow work instructions
• Perform and adhere to Lock Out Tag Out safety standards
• Monitor and troubleshoot machines and processes by checking running conditions such as speed of output, pressure, temperatures, wind and unwind tensions to ensure quality and production goals are met
• Plan, organize and actively participate in activities such as change-over procedures, instructing material handlers to provide needed materials, recording tags and labels for production rolls/orders while machine is running.
• Assist with data entry and management through ERP system
• Perform Quality Inspections and make appropriate decisions with input or advice from the supervisor regarding line speed, quality of product adjustments and machine maintenance.

• Maintains neat and clean work environment following 5S methodology

Primary Qualifications

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Proven commitment to quality complaince and productivity
• Two years of job related experience required, including machine operator / maintenance
• Overhead crane operation certification required. Must be acquired on the job within 90 days
• Ability to identify thermal, electrical and pneumatic concerns
• Ability to follow work instructions from start up to shut down
• Knowledge of company safety, OSHA and department policies and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out
• Good applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math functions including reading a tape measure
• Ability to be self-motivated

Workplace Experience

Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

Ergonomic Requirements

• Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time
• Ability to use Power Tools safely
