Job Summary:
The ideal candidate should have manufacturing experience with machine operation or maintenance experience. Candidate must be comfortable working in production as part of a team with specific production goals. Previous work experience in a fast-paced industrial environment is required. The person selected will be working directly with other members of the production team, safety, quality and engineering.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Read and follow work instructions
· Properly and safely set up Extruder at correct temperature and cleansed die head
· Safely operate crane to pick up regrind flake and unload it into the hopper.
· Operate stand up forklift to move material from bagging area to scale to be weighed and labeled.
· Perform and adhere to Lock Out Tag Out safety standards
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and independently troubleshoot
· Read and record machine settings for continuous improvement initiatives
· Assist with data entry and management through ERP system
· Perform Quality Inspections (pellet size, melt flow, surface moisture, pellet voids, etc.)
· Meet / Exceed production standards
· Excellent time management and communication skills
· Ability to work both independently and with a team
· Self-Motivated
· Follows Company safety and department policies and procedures
· Maintains a neat and clean work environment following the 5S methodology
· Makes recommendations to continually improve processes
· Performs other duties as assigned

· High School diploma / GED preferred
· Proven commitment to quality compliance and productivity
· Two months job related experience required, including machine operator / maintenance
· Ability to identify thermal, electrical and mechanical conveyance concerns
· Ability to follow work instructions from start up to shut down
· Knowledge of company safety, OSHA and department policies and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out
· Good applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
· Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math functions
Workplace Experience:
Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
