SRM Concrete is seeking a safety-focused Tanker Operator with a Class A CDL to transport cement from supply terminals to our concrete plants. You will play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly and representing SRM with professionalism.

Responsibilities include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, accurate paperwork, customer service at delivery sites, and strict adherence to DOT regulations and SRM's safety standards. Local or regional routes are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Tanker endorsement is helpful but not required.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for transporting materials.
• Proven safe driving record and ability to perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Excellent communication and customer service at delivery sites.

• Accurately complete and maintain logbooks and delivery paperwork per DOT regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch for delivery instructions and updates on route progress.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading and prevent spills or contamination.
• Follow routes, schedules, and safety procedures for material transport.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
• Stay current on safety regulations and SRM policies.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to various SRM Concrete plant locations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Accurately complete and maintain logbooks, delivery documentation, and other required paperwork in line with company policies and DOT regulations.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide updates on route progress.
• Ensure secure loading and unloading of cement, preventing spillage or contamination.
• Follow established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials.
• Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism.
• Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage.
• Stay current on safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

What Sets You Apart

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Tanker Endorsement is helpful, but not required.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum of 2 years' proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and climbing.
• Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with plant personnel and customers.
• Willingness to undergo SRM's pre-employment screenings.
• Positive, "go-getter" attitude and commitment to SRM's 5 Principles of Service: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, and Go-Getter.
