Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a safety-focused Tanker Operator to transport cement from terminals to SRM plant locations. You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintain delivery paperwork per DOT rules, and communicate with dispatch to ensure timely, compliant deliveries.

• Valid Class A CDL
• Tank trailer experience preferred but not required Tanker Endorsement is helpful but not required
• DOT regulations and safety standards knowledge
• Minimum of 2 years' proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform bending, lifting, and climbing tasks
• Strong time management and communication skills
• Willingness to undergo SRM pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement to SRM plants

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to various SRM Concrete plant locations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Accurately complete and maintain logbooks, delivery documentation, and other required paperwork in line with company policies and DOT regulations.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide updates on route progress.
• Ensure secure loading and unloading of cement, preventing spillage or contamination.
• Follow established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials.
• Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism.
• Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage.
• Stay current on safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

What Sets You Apart

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Tanker Endorsement is helpful, but not required.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum of 2 years' proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.
