Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a safety-focused Tanker Operator to transport cement from terminals to SRM plant locations. You will perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and communicate with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL required; tanker endorsement helpful but not required.
  • Current DOT Medical Card.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
  • Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in 5 years.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screenings.
  • Positive, go-getter attitude aligned with SRM's 5 Principles of Service.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to SRM plant locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for vehicle safety.
  • Accurately complete and maintain logbooks and delivery paperwork per DOT policies.
  • Communicate with dispatch for delivery instructions and route updates.
  • Ensure loading/unloading safety and prevent spills or contamination.
  • Follow routes, schedules, and safety procedures for material transport.
  • Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
  • Stay current on safety regulations and company policies.

SRM Concrete is seeking a skilled Tanker Operator to safely transport cement from supply terminals to our concrete plants—playing a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Your Mission & Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to various SRM Concrete plant locations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Accurately complete and maintain logbooks, delivery documentation, and other required paperwork in line with company policies and DOT regulations.
  • Communicate proactively with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide updates on route progress.
  • Ensure secure loading and unloading of cement, preventing spillage or contamination.
  • Follow established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism.
  • Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage.
  • Stay current on safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
What Sets You Apart
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Tanker Endorsement is helpful, but not required.
  • Current DOT Medical Card.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
