Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a safety-focused Tanker Operator to transport cement from terminals to SRM plant locations, ensuring safe operations and timely deliveries. The role requires a Class A CDL with a tanker endorsement being helpful but not required, a current DOT medical card, and at least two years of tanker driving experience.

You will conduct inspections, maintain logs, and communicate with dispatch to follow delivery instructions and routes.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL; Tanker Endorsement helpful but not required.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum 2 years' experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
• Clean driving record with no major tickets or accidents in 5 years.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent time management to meet delivery schedules.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to undergo SRM pre-employment screenings.
• Positive, go-getter attitude aligned with SRM's 5 Principles of Service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement to SRM plant locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Complete and maintain logbooks and delivery paperwork per company policies and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch to receive instructions and provide route updates.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading to prevent spillage or contamination.
• Follow established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.
• Promptly report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations.
• Stay current on safety regulations and SRM policies.
