Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a safety-focused Tanker Operator to transport cement from terminals to SRM plant locations. You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintain delivery paperwork per DOT rules, and communicate with dispatch to ensure timely, compliant deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Tank trailer experience preferred but not required Tanker Endorsement is helpful but not required
• DOT regulations and safety standards knowledge
• Minimum of 2 years' proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform bending, lifting, and climbing tasks
• Strong time management and communication skills
• Willingness to undergo SRM pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement to SRM plants
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety compliance
• Complete logbooks and delivery paperwork per company and DOT rules
• Communicate with dispatch about delivery instructions and route progress
• Ensure secure loading/unloading and prevent spills or contamination
• Follow routes, schedules, and safety procedures for material transport
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly
• Stay updated on safety regulations and company policies
