Job summary

Heidelberg Materials in Washington state is seeking a professional tanker driver to safely operate a tractor-trailer and deliver materials to customer sites. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, manage loading and unloading, and ensure accurate delivery documentation while coordinating with dispatch and customers.

We require a valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Doubles endorsements, a strong safety record, and the ability to maintain compliance with regulations.

What You'll Be Doing

Safely operate a tanker truck to transport and deliver materials to customer and company locations. Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation. Load, unload, and handle materials in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and site personnel. Promote a strong safety culture by following all company policies, environmental standards, and transportation regulations.

What Are We Looking For

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate Tanker and Doubles Endorsements and a strong commitment to safe driving practices. Demonstrated ability to operate tanker equipment safely and efficiently in a variety of conditions. Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete inspections, documentation, and regulatory requirements accurately. Effective communication and customer service skills with a professional and team-oriented approach. Dependable, safety-focused individual who can adapt to changing schedules, priorities, and operational needs.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post‑offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
