Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a skilled terminal associate at one of our cement and materials terminals. You will assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks and railcars, perform routine maintenance, and ensure accurate documentation and inventory management.

This role requires mechanical aptitude, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks and railcars.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of terminal equipment.
• Ensure accurate documentation and inventory management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the terminal.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

What Are We Looking For

• Mechanically inclined with strong aptitude for working with tools and equipment.
• Prior mechanical experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
• Verification of age will be required as a condition of employment.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
