Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) seeks a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our fabrication team on-site. You will weld mild and stainless steel, perform MIG and TIG welds, cut and finish components, and repair assemblies to spec.

You will read measurements and job sheets, adhere to OSHA safety rules, and maintain a clean, safe work area. A high school diploma and welding experience are required; welding certificates are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Welding certificate is a plus but not required.
• Read and comprehend measurements and job sheets.

Responsibilities

• MIG and TIG welding of parts.
• Order and receive parts and supplies as needed.

Starting Pay: Dependent on experience

Role overview:

Handles welding and fitting both mild steel and stainless steel, welding parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes. Performs thermal cutting and grinding, repairing broken or cracked parts, filling holes, increasing the size of metal parts.

Position Responsibilities:

• Must be able to utilize both MIG and TIG
• Order and receive parts and supplies as needed
• Adheres to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous wastes
• Clean, organize and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
• Ability to wear a respirator

Qualifications:

• Possess both welding and fitting skills
• Ability to operate an acetylene torch
• Read and comprehend measurements, and job sheets
• Worked in an industrial setting
• High school diploma or GED
• Welding Certificate is a plus, but not required
• Must be able to safely lift up to 5lbs
• Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English for safety and training purposes
