Job summary

Par Pacific is seeking an Operator-E in Newcastle, Wyoming. You will oversee tank transfers, monitor truck loading racks, and support refinery operations on a 4 on/4 off 12-hour shift.

You’ll report incidents, monitor safety, and ensure compliance with procedures while maintaining logs and coordinating with the control room. The role requires outdoor work in variable weather, a valid driver's license, and strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with loading/unloading large trucks and trailers is preferred.
• Experience with tank transfers and loading rack operation in a refinery environment is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate pumps, valves, and field equipment to move crude oil and finished products between tanks and process units.
• Perform gauge readings and record product levels, temperatures, and pressures.
• Conduct routine inspections of tanks, pumps, and equipment for leaks or unsafe conditions.
• Collect product samples for laboratory analysis as needed.
• Communicate with the control room and other operators to coordinate product movements.
• Accurately complete logs and reports in accordance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
