Job summary

Par Pacific is seeking an Operator-E at our Newcastle, Wyoming refinery. You will oversee tank transfers, monitor pumps and loading racks, and coordinate with the control room. The role includes a 4 on/4 off, 12-hour shift schedule and requires strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities include recording gauges, samples, and logs, plus assisting with maintenance and inspections. PPE is provided, and you will work outdoors in variable weather conditions with heavy lifting involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college coursework a plus.
• Experience with loading and unloading large trucks and trailers preferred.
• Experience with tank transfers and loading rack operation in refinery environment preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to work 12-hour shifts.
• Fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate pumps, valves, and field equipment to move crude oil and finished products between tanks and process units.
• Perform gauge readings and record product levels, temperatures, and pressures.
• Conduct routine inspections of tanks, pumps, and equipment for leaks or unsafe conditions.
• Collect product samples for laboratory analysis.
• Coordinate product movements with control room and other operators.
• Assist with routine maintenance and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
