Job summary

HMT LLC is hiring an Assistant Foreman to direct field crews in the safe execution of tank-building tasks at various sites across the United States. You will follow site-specific contracts, ensure QA/QC compliance, and maintain productive relations with customers.

The role requires heavy lifting, ability to work in confined spaces, and willingness to travel 75–100%. You will support the Tank Foreman, review drawings, and train crew members to advance toward Field Foreman roles.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of heavy steel industry work experience, preferably in the AST industry (Above Ground Storage Tank)
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and POV (personally owned vehicle)

Responsibilities

• Direct personnel in the safe execution of site-specific scope of work items
• Coordinate with Tank Foreman and communicate regularly on progress and issues
• Ensure compliance with HMT safety manual, customer specifications, QA/QC requirements
• Support field crew with daily tasks, manage manpower, equipment, tools and consumables
• Complete general site paperwork including timesheets, T&M sheets, and purchase orders
• Maintain onsite customer relations and provide sketches for scope changes
• Train crew members in tank building and assist Field Tank Foreman in training future Foremen
• Travel 75–100% as required
