Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking skilled technicians to service ISO Tank Containers. You will pressure test tanks, drain and dry interiors, and repair or replace valves, gaskets and gauges to keep equipment safe and compliant.

You will operate hoists, cranes and precision tools, diagnose mechanical issues by listening to equipment, and perform parts replacement. Comfort with respirators and working at heights in confined tank spaces is required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background required.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Detail oriented with safety mindset.
• Ability to wear a respirator and work at heights on tanks.
• Comfortable working in enclosed spaces inside tanks.

Responsibilities

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges.
• Drain tank and ensure it is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring/ testing tools.
• Diagnose mechanical issues by listening to equipment.
• Repair/replace defective parts; inspect and adjust used parts.
• Lubricate and clean components; operate lathe/drill.

Role overview:

Working on ISO Tank Containers by pressure testing tanks, drain and dry out the inside of the tank. Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets and gauges.

Position Responsibilities:

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges
• Drain tank and insuring tank is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools

Qualifications:

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background
• Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Detailed oriented
• Ability to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks
• Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
