Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a Warehouse Operator to provide efficient operation and oversight of tank farm facilities in South Carolina. You will ship and receive bulk chemicals, ensure compliance with labeling and shipping laws, and inspect equipment to keep operations safe and productive.

You will handle hazardous chemicals outdoors, transfer chemicals between railcar, tank, and trailer, pack totes, and drive a yard hostler.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with additional schooling or equivalent business experience.

Responsibilities

Provide efficient operation and oversight of the tank farm facilities.
Shipping and receiving of bulk chemicals in the tank farm; fill, pack, and ship customer orders promptly.
Ensure compliance with State and Federal labeling and shipping laws and regulations on merchandise shipped from warehouse.
Inspect and check tank farm equipment and facilities for good operating condition.
Maintain and protect warehouse stocks, supplies, and equipment.
Handle, blend, and pump hazardous chemicals outdoors.
Transfer hazardous chemicals from railcar to tank and tank to trailer.
Package totes and drums with product.
Drive hostler in the yard to move bulk trailers.
Report problems with tank farm operation to Warehouse or Operations Manager.
Perform administrative work and assist Operations Manager with duties.
