Job summary

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a Railcar Technician to perform comprehensive repair and maintenance on tank cars. Lead with safety in mind while applying current repair procedures and ensuring compliance with AAR rules.

You will also manage invoicing, work orders, and certifications while providing strong customer support. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and perform basic railcar repairs and inspections.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Welding background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all aspects of repair and maintenance on railcars.
• Perform inspections to ensure compliance with AAR rules and regulations.
• Provide excellent customer support and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Handle invoicing and work order information; maintain certifications.
• Maintain railcar welding certifications and other required qualifications.
