Job summary

Guardian Rail is seeking skilled railcar mechanics to inspect and repair railcars to FRA and AAR specifications. You will perform basic mechanical work, welding, grinding, and touch-up painting while maintaining a strong safety mindset in outdoor environments.

Applicants should have hands-on experience in heavy industrial settings, read technical documents, work in teams, and follow QA procedures. Training is provided for equipment operation and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in industrial/heavy manufacturing.
• Able to read safety rules, operating instructions, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform railcar repairs in compliance with FRA and AAR rules.
• Operate hand and power tools and welding equipment.
• Set up and operate equipment like forklift, crane, and hoist after training.
• Maintain clean work areas and adhere to safety and quality programs.
• Work in a team environment and follow written and verbal directions.
