Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing preferred.
• Must read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, procedures, and blueprints.
• Ability to write basic reports and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform railcar repairs in compliance with FRA and AAR rules.
• Follow Guardian Rail safety procedures and maintain clean work areas.
• Disassemble damaged railcars and tank cars as needed.
• Apply welding via specified processes and use power tools safely.
• Operate equipment like forklifts, cranes, or hoists after training.
• Adhere to quality procedures and document work per QA program.
• Work well in a team and communicate clearly.
