Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Assembler I for the South Chesterfield, VA facility on a first shift (6am – 2:30pm). You will program, operate and troubleshoot automated and/or robotic machinery in the production of sheet metal refrigerated cases.

Responsibilities include reading orders, identifying parts and tools, using measuring devices, and assembling components with fasteners while working across stations as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting or kneeling may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an A order and the work order.
• Identify parts and tools used on the product line.
• Read rulers, tape measures, and other measuring instruments.
• Operate and troubleshoot automated/robotic machinery.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Work at multiple stations as production needs require.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
