Guest Services, Inc. seeks a Cook to assist the kitchen leadership team in preparing, cooking, and serving food, while maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

You will follow recipes and menus, monitor sanitation, stock and receive deliveries, and support coworkers in a fast-paced environment across client sites.

The position requires a High School diploma, food safety certification, and strong customer service skills; you must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifikationen

• Culinary knowledge.
• Food Safety certified and strong sanitation habits.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looking for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, daily menus, supervisor instructions, and company policies.
• Clean and inspect kitchen equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
• Operate food station, including performing station checklist, temperature log, and safe food handling procedures.
• Inform kitchen leadership of food supplies, kitchen equipment, and appliances, based on estimates of future needs.
• Monitor menu items and follow cost control policies to ensure that meals are prepared economically.
• Assist in rotating and stocking items, receiving and unloading deliveries.
• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and cooking supplies using proper sanitation procedures.
• Pull trash from trash receptacles.
• Replace trash bags as needed.
• Clear trash from tables and floors/grounds.
• Clean floor area of any spillage of water, detergent and/or food stuffs per safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Performs such other related duties as directed or required.
