Job summary

The University of South Dakota TRIO Educational Talent Search program in Sioux Falls, SD has an immediate opening for a full-time 11-month Director to lead their team.

The Director will hire, train, and supervise staff; develop cooperative relationships with schools and families; oversee direct services in classrooms, small groups, and individual visits; recruit participants and report progress per federal guidelines; and manage records and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social services, or related field.
• Experience with diverse student populations and educational program operations.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight to the TRIO Talent Search program in Sioux Falls.
• Hire, train, and supervise TRIO Talent Search staff.
• Develop and facilitate relationships with schools and families.
• Oversee services to participants in classrooms, small groups, and individual visits.
• Recruit participants, meet program objectives, and report progress per federal guidelines.
• Maintain student records and document professional activity.
• Oversee annual budget, communicate with grant stakeholders, and write proposals.
