Job summary

HarperCollins Publishers is seeking a Coordinator, People & Recruiting to support the Vice President, People and the Talent Acquisition team across North America. The role focuses on HarperCollins Christian Publishing with flexibility to support HarperCollins Publishers as needed.

You will coordinate People processes, recruitment, and onboarding while assisting employees, candidates, hiring managers, and People team partners.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience supporting human resources processes, recruitment coordination, onboarding, or related function.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems (ATS); ICIMS preferred.
• Strong administrative and project coordination skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with ability to identify inefficiencies and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and project coordination support to the Vice President, People across the employee lifecycle, including documentation, coordinating meetings and timelines, and tracking follow-up actions.
• Coordinate recurring People processes and initiatives like performance management, talent planning, employee engagement, and organization changes.
• Support employee relations and performance management by coordinating meetings, documenting actions, and maintaining confidentiality.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and provide timely updates to candidates and hiring managers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws throughout recruitment.
• Prepare and track offer letters and other new hire documentation.
• Coordinate campus recruiting and internship program logistics, materials, onboarding, and stakeholder communications.
• Manage the team’s shared inbox with the New York-based coordinator and ensure timely inquiries routing.
• Track all aspects of recruitment including referrals.
• Oversee onboarding for full-time employees and interns, including background checks, pre-start prep, systems access, and orientation.
