About the Role

Velvet Midnight Records is seeking an Artist Manager to join our team under Will Holmes Publishing. As a Manager, you’ll represent and support emerging recording artists—securing live gigs, coordinating logistics, and helping build their public presence. This is a high-responsibility role with flexible hours, strong commissions, and a direct impact on the careers of talented musicians.

This role is perfect for someone who’s resourceful, well-organized, and thrives on making connections in the live music world.

Responsibilities

• Book live shows, showcases, and public appearances for assigned artists
• Coordinate with venues, side musicians, and event staff
• Oversee logistics: travel, equipment, scheduling, and communication
• Collect and confirm advance payments from venues
• Submit setlists and event info for rights reporting (ASCAP, etc.)
• Occasionally support merchandise efforts (5% bonus commission on direct sales)

Note: You are not required to attend gigs, but must manage them as if you were.

Compensation

• 25% commission on all gross live performance revenue (e.g., gigs, festivals)
• No cap on earnings—the more you book, the more you earn
• 5% bonus commission on merchandise you directly help sell (from label share)
• Label handles all admin, contracts, and payment distribution

• Must work exclusively with Velvet Midnight Records during the term of engagement

Legal & Contractual

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Managers are under contract with Will Holmes Publishing and operate exclusively within the Velvet Midnight Records system. Contracts are open-ended but can be terminated at will by either party. A full Manager Agreement will be provided upon hiring.
